Level 1 Technician – Eau Claire, WI

Telecommunications Business Development Specialist

Cady Business Technologies is a leading telecommunications company in the upper Midwest headquartered in Plymouth, MN.  Cady Business Technologies provides organizations of all sizes a full suite of on-premise and hosted voice phone service solutions to fit clients business needs. We are experts in telecommunications, with over 200 years of combined telecommunications experience with the ability to support our clients at every level with our always-available, skilled, and professional support team providing personalized customer support.

 This Sales Role is responsible for generating sales of hardware, software, professional services, managed voice services and hosted voice services. The Telecommunication Business Development Specialist must be able to understand and articulate the business advantages that Cady BT products and services provide to the target markets and be able to articulate those advantages to senior business executives and IT professionals. In addition, understand and anticipate upcoming business needs and processes and be able to craft our solutions to incorporate those needs.

You should possess ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of customers, solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.


 
 
 
 

Essential Duties may include:

  • Installing new systems with direction from Lead Engineer or Level 2 Technicians.

  • Support quarterly projects.

  • Travel to company sites needing technical support.

  • Complete ongoing product training.

  • Complete Service Order tickets, time logs and other necessary admin functions required within CRM.

  • Stay current with product upgrades.

  • Program systems in house

  • Data cabling

  • Attend weekly operational meetings and quarterly company meetings

  • By 6-month mark, learn and understand company product lines with access to systems and processes

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:

To be successful in this position you will be a quick learner, self-driven, disciplined, and conscientious with good follow-through. This position requires remote technical work and time traveling locally. Most importantly, you will have a genuine interest in helping Cady customers with a positive and productive attitude.

Required:

  • 2+ years’ experience in telecommunications or cloud-based IT SaaS or graduation from technical school.

  • Working knowledge of MS office, email, and CRM systems

  • Working knowledge of data switches and VLAN

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving record

You should possess experience in:

  1. Business development skills including lead follow up and cold calling

  2. Telecommunications background is a plus

  3. Experience selling IT, cloud based or hosted products

  4. Must be highly motivated, tenacious, and a self-starter

  5. Ability to work and engage a variety of different audiences

  6. Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment

  7. Action Oriented

  8. Some post-secondary education preferred with an AA or BA preferred

  9. Excellent communication and presentation skills

  10. Outstanding relationship-building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity 

  11. Proficiency with a CRM system

Job Requirements:

  1. Proven track record of successful new logo business development in a technology-based sale.

  2. 3+ years of technical or SaaS solution-oriented sales experience into enterprise organizations.

  3. Demonstrated ability to create a sales plan to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas.

  4. Adept in developing and delivering complex, compelling presentations and product demonstrations.

  5. Knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

  6. Must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
